Jamie Carragher has taken to Twitter to react after Jude Bellingham scored Borussia Dortmund’s opening goal against Beşiktaş last night.
What’s the story?
Well, those associated with Liverpool are keeping a close eye on the 18-year-old, after the Daily Star claimed he’s Jürgen Klopp’s top target.
In just the 20th minute of last night’s 2-1 win, Bellingham popped up with his second goal of the season to silence the Beşiktaş supporters.
The teenager also provided the assist for Erling Braut Håland’s goal, which eventually turned out to be the winner.
After Bellingham scored the opener, Carragher posted the following tweet.
The £25m wonderkid now has two goals and four assists to his name in seven outings this season – his end product has notably improved.
Bellingham scored four and assisted four in 46 appearances last term.
Can Liverpool sign Jude Bellingham?
In our view, Liverpool will not only have to break their own transfer record, but perhaps set a new British transfer record if they’re to sign Bellingham.
The 8-cap England international’s potential is scary, limitless even.
Bellingham just keeps on getting better and better – he is surely already worth at least £100m, in our view.
90min believe Liverpool are in regular contact with Borussia Dortmund.
However, Manchester City and others are too – without a doubt, all of Europe’s biggest clubs will try to sign Bellingham when the time comes.
If this is to happen for the Reds, we don’t think a deal will materialise soon.
The Daily Star believe Bellingham wants to go to the 2022 World Cup, and is keen to continue developing well in Germany.
Whatever happens after that, however, remains to be seen.
