A number of Spurs fans have waxed lyrical about Nile John’s latest performance for the Tottenham Under-23s.
The 18-year-old, who joined Spurs when he was seven, has been in sensational form for Wayne Burnett’s side.
John has made seven appearances for Tottenham this season, both at age level and senior level.
The midfield gem has made five Premier League 2 appearances this term, registering three goals and one assist.
John has also featured in the EFL Trophy and got 45 minutes under his belt in the Europa Conference League this term.
He has made two senior appearances for Tottenham, but given his talent and potential, could surely be in line for many more.
On Monday night, John opened the scoring as Spurs ran out 3-1 winners over Derby in Premier League 2 action.
With Tottenham currently in dire straits, some fans would like to see Nuno Espirito Santo give other players a chance, beginning with Thursday’s ECL meeting with Mura.
Indeed, one fan believes his “consistent eye for goal” is something the North Londoners have lacked in midfield for a long time.
