Chelsea fans don’t seem fazed at the prospect that Tottenham trio Giovani Lo Celso, Cristian Romero and Davinson Sanchez could return to action on Sunday.
The Spurs trio have been training in Croatia with a coach after going on international duty and having to self-isolate, according to the Daily Mail.
With Nuno Espirito Santo short at the back ahead of Chelsea’s visit, the above trio are set to return to the UK on Saturday and could be thrown straight into the squad 24 hours later, as reported by Sky Sports.
But this hasn’t fazed the Chelsea faithful, as they have no sympathy at the short time they will be able to prepare for that game and they also think this is a great chance for Romelu Lukaku to shine once again.
Eric Dier limped off during Tottenham’s defeat against Crystal Palace last Saturday, whilst Japhet Tanganga will be suspended after recovering two yellow cards.
Nuno needs, at the very least, one of Sanchez and Romero available to him, especially if Dier can’t make it.
Either way, whoever is playing, the Chelsea fans expect three points, with Thomas Tuchel’s men unbeaten during their first four games of the new campaign.
It’s going to be a tough ask for those in North London because they are playing a team on the up, the European champions and with a striker in Lukaku, who is bang in form.
Spurs do have Harry Kane, but he is yet to get off the mark in the Premier League this season.
Although, what an opportunity this is for the Englishman to get his engine going because he hasn’t really laid a glove on anybody yet.
