Italian Journalist Mario Sconcerti: “Inter’s Draw Against Sampdoria Doesn’t Mean Anything”

Italian journalist Mario Sconcerti does not believe that there is much to worry about for Inter after their draw away to Sampdoria over the weekend.

Writing in his column in today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, the journalist gave the view that the result does not have much bearing in the grand scheme of the Scudetto race and that the Nerazzurri have not fallen behind any of their major rivals.

Inter came into the weekend as one of five teams in Serie A with perfect records, and after Sunday’s round of fixtures they are behind the likes of Napoli, Roma, and AC Milan, the three teams to have maintained their perfect starts with three wins from three.

For Sconcerti, however, falling behind two points means little at this point based on the nature of the performances and results, and the Nerazzurri can still come back and reassert themselves quickly.

“Milan and Napoli have been the best teams seen so far,” he opined. “Inter are on the same points total a year ago, this is to say that the draw caused by an own goal by Dzeko and an exceptional goal by Augello means little.”
